Colombian ones are made with corn, smaller and fried, with a thin, crispy crust. They're eaten at any time of day: on the street, at a party or as a starter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The aj\u00ed<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It's the sauce that's always on the side: chopped cilantro, onion, vinegar or lime, and hot chili. Everyone adds as much as they like, so the empanada isn't spicy unless you want it to be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tequendama's empanaditas<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">They're small corn empanaditas filled with shredded beef, potato and homemade hogao, served with aj\u00ed.
